The Stratford Police Department operates a professional police agency, using experience, training, compassion and common sense. We enforce the ordinances of Stratford and the laws of the State of Texas as we are sworn to do, no matter who or what, meaning no matter how old or young you are, how long you've lived here, what your race or gender is, where you work or how much money you have..................we will, however, carry this out in the most courteous and professional manner as we are able.
We believe in a community-oriented approach to policing. Your Chief will be available to the public. I will visit businesses, attend public events, maintain an open door policy etc. You may also watch your local paper. We will often times place humorous poems and or articles pertaining to the department. These could be things you need to know as a community or they may simply be intended to make you smile or have a better day.
